Inspiration

Inspired by a real business problem.

Currently I work on the reception at a San Francisco hostel. We have a facebook page where potential customers and guests can directly message us. The problem is that none of us (the receptionists) ever log into facebook and the messages never get responded to, and if they do its way too slow! And our manager gets very unhappy with all the unanswered messages!

What it does

So I have created Flack Bot a bot to take care of all facebook messages that come through! The bot instantly replies to guests with canned responses that look and feel like they are speaking with a real person.

How I built it

HTML, JS, CSS & of course with the support of my neighboring hackers on the work desk!!
