Inspiration

I love listening to music. Im listening to it right now. But how often do I use music to escape life? How often do I spend just sitting there absorbing the noises? How often do I sit there listening to someone relating to my pain through beautiful notes? Very often. But, I rarely understand it. Introducing Resonance

What it does

Learns your music tastes and how you react to different music. Do you listen for the lyrics or the notes? Do you think about the melody or the beat more? It's all analyzed and served up to you on a platter supported by OpenAI's latest GPT-4o.

How I built it

Lots of code. And no breaks. Except once.

Challenges we ran into

React Native, PSU Wifi, Expo Go, React Native again, React, Node, etc. 2 Weeks ago I knew nothing about React Native, Tailwind CSS, or how to use the OpenAI API. Now, here I am with a project in it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The clean, smooth UI. The AI implementation. The use cases with more data. The database. Everything, really.

What we learned

React Native, React, OpenAI API, prompt engineering, and that HackPSU is incredible!

What's next for Resonance

Scaling, getting customers, continued development. Will start off with a monthly/yearly plan. Will be a data/analytics app mostly.

Bonus Features: (small) music library, lyrics, listening analytics, and so much more!

This hack was not made using any AI helper tools such as Copilot.
