Inspiration
- We found a gap between the number of people that had seriously considered solar and those who had actually adopted it.
What it does
- It finds and compares the local energy rates vs. the rate that solar would be, as well as other useful comparisons
- It puts these comparisons on two visual representations
How we built it
- We used JS, HTML, and CSS to create various formulas and then make them work with the website
Challenges we ran into
-We had originally used Python for a lot of our formulas and visual representations, which we were unable to use with JavaScript.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We are proud of our adaptability, changing the languages we used near the end to make our program work.
What we learned
- We learned a lot of new ideas in JS, including topics like blobs and CSS styling.
What's next for Solar Conversion Calculator
- We will make a more attractive website for users and possibly expand to other types of renewable energy.
