Inspiration

Remind is a platform to used by teachers to communicate with their students. It's web version is extremely easy to use, and so when they made a mobile app, they decided to create a carbon copy of their web setup. That's the problem.

They web setup is built for a large screen computer, where they can display the list of classes and discussions for a class on screen with ease. It doesn't work the same way with a mobile phone though.

So, we redesigned it. Our new Remind displays all the chats on the home/front page, ordered based on recent activity -- unlike the current model, which displays all the classes in a little tab, ordered by name. Clicking on a chat, in our new designed Remind, opens up the chat history, thus giving it a more SMS feel which is more natural for a mobile application.
