Inspiration
lay back and hack 💆🏻♀️🛵
What it does
plans ur walks!🚶♂️takes location from user, searches for outdoor places, provides interesting categories around that destination and generate a path!
How we built it
radar api, vanilla js, html/css, leaflet
Challenges we ran into
Radar's library uses cookies, so we needed to host it locally -- Max, our API guru, has apache running locally, however, it requires each of our teammates to ]download or install apache or nginx. This affected our preliminary testing. Additionally, there was a rate limit for the API which limited requests.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Creating a semaphore-like structure with javascript Promises to prevent from exceeding the API rate limit. Radar API -- caught a documentation error
- Learning Figma
- Creating a high-fidelity prototype
What we learned
Radar API, Figma, HTML Form Design
