Inspiration

Being a student, it became very tough for us to cope up with this online scenario. It made us miss our school days, where indoor games used to be fun and that became our inspiration to come up with "Regalement"! An online platform which will act as refreshment for you while working. Our website contains three games: ❌Tic-Tac-Toe ✂️ Rock Paper Scissors 👻 Pac-Man. Our motive for choosing these games was quite simple. We wanted to keep our website user-friendly and accessible to all. These games are easy to play and known to all and also will bring back your childhood memories.

What it does

Tic-Tac-Toe- Tic-Tac -Toe involves looking ahead and trying to figure out what the person playing against you might do next. It's a game for two players, X **and **O, who take turns marking the spaces in a 3×3 grid. The player who succeeds in placing three respective marks in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins the game. If the grid is full and there is no winner, the game ends in a draw.

Rock-Paper-Scissors- It is a simple hand game with many names and variations. The rules require that competing players use one hand to form one of three shapes at an agreed-upon time. The person that plays the strongest “object” is the winner of the game. It's that easy! Rock, Paper, Scissors is a simple game that anybody can play and win. There is no intrinsic advantage to the stronger, older, or more experienced opponent.

Pac-Man-The player guides the titular Pac-Man through a maze to eat Pac-Dots; when some dots are eaten, Pac-Man is taken to the next stage. Four ghosts, roam the maze, trying to catch Pac-Man if a ghost touches him, the game ends. Each of the ghost has its unique characteristics!!

How we built it

We started our project with basic HTML along with CSS and then improved it with JavaScript with some of the In-built JavaScript libraries like

query Selector()
appendChild()
addEventListener()
querySelectorAll() -minmax() and also we focused on our UI which is quite eye striking.

Challenges we ran into

As this was one amongst our first hackathon, we faced ample challenges as well. We had planned a lot of things but couldn't implement them all due to lack of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As we all were beginners we got a chance to implement our theoretical knowledge and strengthen our basics.

What we learned

As we all were beginners this hackathon was a golden chance to inculcate the basic and certain advance stuff of various programming languages and use our theoretical knowledge. We came across some of In-Built JavaScript libraries got to learn more of it. We learnt how to implement GIFs in our web page to make our page more attractive and eye-catching.

What's next for Regalement

We want this web-site to be more user friendly with more refreshing games to relish the childhood memories. We want our users to enjoy our web-site through any devices with more responsiveness.
