Inspiration

Our love of food!

What it does

It will display featured dishes, and recommend recipes for the user that they might like, based on what kinds of food they are craving.

How we built it

We built it using bootstrap framework and JavaScript/Jquery. The recipe recommendations page populates

Challenges we ran into

We found it difficult to design the website at first. It was difficult to dynamically populate the page by reading from a .json file, but we are glad that our website is beautiful in the end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making such a complicated site in such a short period of time and getting the recommendations function to work!

What we learned

We all came to this from different background, so it was a learning experience in different ways for all of us. We learned to pull and clean data from the internet, to generate recommendations for users, and to dynamically populate HTML by reading from a json file.
