Introducing MIND ovEr MOTION, the cutest little div box that will listen and respond to what you say and how you say it!

Move a simple block across the page using your voice but be sure to mind your manners: the box responds to attitude!

The magnitude of this simple demonstration is boundless. By playing with this little color-changing box, young children can learn how manners and expressing themselves can impact others on a fundamental level.

To create our app in 24 hours, we forked an existing public IBM-Watson sample app and then modified it to power our idea. The IBM-Watson APIs, mentioned below, are used to translate the user's verbal input into the words and tones spoken (or played) into the computer's microphone. Testing was done with the unwavering help of the first Harry Potter novel's audiobook, thanks Jim Dale!

Basic info about the base application is given below:

"Real Time Tone Analysis samples dictation or conversations and displays a working timeline that plots the tone of the language spoken.

The project is an experiment that combines the Watson [Speech to Text][speech_service_url] and [Tone Analysis][tone_service_url] services, integrating them in a node.js backend running on [IBM Bluemix][bluemix_url]."
