Technical Complexity / Functionality

Takes in eeg data from a muse2 device via a web frontend, downloads the raw data to a mongo page, then applies EEG filters and renders the data to a chart. At least that's what it's supposed to do. We got stuck on parsing the payload for chart.js to use and didn't have time to set up the filters.

We have an entire neuro signal processing jupyter file we have stored seperately which outlined how everything would be built with the filtering. We expect to finish the project mid-sunday instead of during judging because we really want to see the filters work in action.

(Would like to try to get the real time working too using short polling or websockets, but alas)

Creativity & Innovation

Creativity: Integration of two distinct disciplines and solving an unspoken issue from one using the other. Innovation: Very few projects are attempting to solve this problem in the exact way we are, focusing on high performance web applications.

Commercial Viability

The project was built due to observing a gap in the market. We learned later that neuralbertatech itself is building an application similar to this. We believe given funding suited for a non-academic project from a non-"non-profit" organization, we could probably outpace development. I recognize I am saying this when you, a judge, may quite possibly be from neuralbertatech. We mean no harm, and have little interest ditching school to start competition with your org.
