Inspiration

I love seeing gradual progess tracked, so naturally I wanted to find a way to monitor mental health over long periods of time. I wanted the games to be accessable to everyone, reguardless of language spoken or other life experiences.

What it does

There are currently two mini games that test your reflexes and color perception. Both games record metrics that are stored in a text file on the computer, marked with the date and time.

How we built it

I used a JPanel GUI in java, using JButtons for both games.

What we learned

I learned to use many different softwares such as APIs, which we had never used, though they were not used in this project. I also learned that data is hard to track, apethetic results can skew the results and data interpretation.

What's next for Reading Minds with Games

I would like to implement other games such as object tracking. I would also like to refine the randomization of panel choice, the computer seems to favor picking the same tile multiple times in a row. Finally, I would like to implement a better way to store data as well as chart data and determine if a data input was a fluke or something to be taken seriously
