Rate My Study Space

Inspiration

• We took inspiration from Rate My Prof to come up with the idea.

What it does

• Rate My Study Space helps students discover and evaluate Study Spaces on Campus

How we built it

• Front-End Website made using HTML and Bootstrap
• AWS Lambda and DynamoDB to process and store the reviews

Challenges we ran into

• Some members having limited knowledge of web development
• Brainstorming ideas was a particularly difficult task
• The usual "bugs you can't find the solution to"

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• We have a barely working website

What we learned

• Learning basics of web development and introduction to Git and GitHub
• Using AWS Lambda and DynamoDB

What's next for Rate My Study Space

• Feature to allow students to indicate when they are using a certain Study Space
• Be notified when a certain Study Space is freed up
• Tracking the busiest times of the day
• Improvements to the information in reviews
