Team Name: Aspiring McDonald's Managers

Inspiration

A terrible and eye-opening conversation about the successfulness of online dating apps. Also the soul crushing loneliness of being single on valentines day (i.e today/the day we made this) so we wanted to find out how to maximize out rizz.

What it does

Takes a message and determines how much rizz it has.

How we built it

We found a dataset which contains messages and whether or not they were flirtatious. We then applied supervised learning to train a model to detect which words/tokens were frequently used in flirtatious messages and then guess how flirtatious the inputted message is.

Challenges we ran into

Finding a dataset we could use was very difficult due to the private nature of direct messaging. It was also challenging to figure out how we can tokenize the messages.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting it to work. And making a nice UI.

What we learned

We learned a more about how to tackle projects as a team, and how we can make a simple front end using Streamlit.

What's next for Rate My Rizz

Finding more data or better data to use.
