Inspiration

To utilize Rapyd's virtual accounts API to accept payments in customer's local currency even though the business is based in different country.

What it does

  • Uses Rapid's virtual accounts API to accepts payments from Singaporean customer.

How we built it

  • Frontend is made using React
  • Backend is made with express (node)
  • For database I used Cloud Firestore (Firebase)

Challenges we ran into

  • working with webhooks and ngrok
  • Reflecting the changes made by simulating payments in the UI
  • Creating a payments flow

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • The overall colors and UI

  • About web hooks
  • building a backend relay for verifying web hooks and storing API keys
