RadInsurance is a project inspired by the Unslashed project (unslashed ). We thought it would be great to have a similar technology on the Radix blockchain. This could reassure users even more. RadInsurance is a decentralized insurance protocol that connects investors (insurers) and insured parties. Insurers take a risk by investing in an insurance policy and receive interest. Insured parties pay to be covered in case of a loss (for example, a problem with the integrity of a smart contract). We decided to implement a simplified version of the protocol for this challenge because we didn't have enough time to study the Unslashed white paper in detail. To do this, we first needed to understand the basics of the insurance business. Then we had to model what we had learned from our research and start development. We encountered some problems with the Radix login button, which was very slow at times. We also had a compilation error due to the @radixdlt/wallet-sdk module. We also generally lacked time because the entire team has a full-time job aside. We are proud to have been able to implement end-to-end functionalities in the various scrypto components and to have validated their proper functioning via shell scripts. During this challenge, we have learned a lot about the technologies we used as well as the functioning of insurance. Indeed, the technologies used for this application are: Angular for the frontend Scrypto for the backend We gained expertise in: Scrypto Angular Transaction manifests Use of the wallet-sdk, etc. API Gateway The next step for RadInsurance will be to implement a very robust protocol with the help of a specialist in the field.
