Quizardy is a multiplayer, buzzer-based quiz game that automatically generates Jeopardy-style questions from YouTube videos or textbooks, allowing players to compete in real-time without a teacher. The project was inspired by the idea of making learning interactive, fun, and social, transforming ordinary studying into an exciting challenge. In building it, we learned how to extract content from videos and text, generate meaningful questions, implement a real-time multiplayer system, and create a fair buzzer mechanism. Key challenges included ensuring accurate question generation, handling simultaneous buzzer inputs, and keeping gameplay fast and responsive. Through Quizardy, we discovered how technology can gamify education, combining coding, AI, and game design to make learning engaging, competitive, and enjoyable.
