Inspiration
Its a common thing that people who are not experienced with selling items online... they struggle with it. (Also I thought about this idea after spending over an hour posting my jacket on kijiji LOL)
What it does
QuickList takes the pain out of online selling by using AI to instantly recognize items from a picture, generate a listing with the best price, and post it on multiple platforms so you can sell faster with zero effort.
How we built it
With Puppeteer, some OpenAI magic, and sheer stubbornness we automated the boring parts of listing stuff online.
Challenges we ran into
Facebook hates bots. Craigslist looks like it hasn’t changed since 1995. Dont get me started with ebay
Accomplishments that we're proud of
AI now does all the annoying listing work for you. We fought the internet’s weirdest CAPTCHAs and won. It actually works (most of the time).
What we learned
Scraping is an extreme sport. Platforms will do anything to stop automation. AI can set better prices than most people.
