Inspiration
There were no apps like this in the Apple App Store yet, and we all wanted to make something that was new and innovative.
What it does
It allows users to write short stories and post them for everyone (who has the app) to read. Users can comment, like, and save stories for later. They can also browse through genres to find stories that they feel like reading. Users can see, on their profile, all of the stories they've posted. And they can see all of the likes they have accumulated through all of their stories.
How we built it
We used Xcode to write our code. We used the swift language, and firebase as our database.
Challenges we ran into
The UI Design part was a challenge we ran into. None of us are graphic designers so it didn't turn out perfect, but we are happy with how we did.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we made a functioning social media platform where readers and writers alike can come together.
What we learned
We all learned about UI Design, and some of our team members learned some swift along the way.
What's next for Quick Lit
Hopefully, the App Store. Some more features we'd like to implement are awards, and classroom sized groups so students can write stories in a closed environment.
