App and web portal to help the concerned authorities maintain check & balance on the prices and quality of food items

Inspiration

Right now there is no check and balance on the prices of food items in Pakistani society. The DCO office generates a list for the items but it is never implemented. The list is mostly hidden by the vendors and the user can't access it online or at any other place.

What it does

Our app provides a portal where the consumer can see the prices of the items generated by the DCO office and can complain about the vendor that is over charging. The user can also compare the prices of the products offered by different vendors and can chose a vendor accordingly and can give a review about the vendor.

How we built it

We have built it on android but we would also be making a web portal for it. We have tried to make the process as simple as possible, the user can easily access the rates from the categories and can even search a specific item. The user can also see the shops in his neighborhood and their reviews.

What's next for Qeemat Check

  1. Making a web portal for end user.
  2. Price Comparison of different shops and provide the shops that provide the best rates of items
  3. SMS and email integration for the complaints
