Inspiration
We were inspired by our love for keeping the history of our friend group intact and the current lack of a consistent space to put it.
What it does
pudding allows groups of people to have a space to put all of their favorite memories in one place. In order for a memory to be added to the pudding, it must get a vast majority of the votes of the group, so only the most key things will be added.
How we built it
We built pudding on the GAS stack. Go, Apple Suite, and SQLite. We first defined the idea of the pages and user flows we wanted to create, and then designed database tables, suggestion algorithms, frontend, and other features to cater the user experience we wanted.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the group's "pudding," where all of the pictures and quotes are present to have an authentic feel. The scope of the project was large, as we expected.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The "pudding" page achieved the feel we wanted. While we didn't get to implement it due to low volume, the algorithm we wrote is something we believe will heavily aid in delivering the experience we want.
What we learned
All of us gained experience with Swift, a language we were largely unfamiliar with going in.
