Why did you choose the product?
spoj.com is a really good website for solving programming problems. It is quite old and the UI is not very modern. So I chose this site.
What issue(s) did you face with the current design?
The UI is not very pleasant to the eye. Also in the list of problems the difficulty is shown using a small colored bar which is hard to comprehend. I replaced it with 'Rating', similar to Codeforces. I wanted a simple user experience along-with beautiful site pages.
What research did you do to find potential solutions to the problem?
I studied some of the modern design trends and color patterns by checking out few websites and tried to implement those.
How does your design improve on the current design?
The current design is aesthetically much better. The UX of the original one is decent and the new one tries to stay on the same lines.
