Protogen

Inspiration

One day my friend was telling me about a project he had done, and he used a system called PyMol. The biggest thing I remember him saying, was how the UI and coding language it used was extremely bad.

What it does

Protogen creates the code(for PyMol) for the exact model the user wants in seconds.

How we built it

Using an IDE called Windsurf to help create my AI and incorporate the RCSB protein database I wanted to use for my project.

Challenges we ran into

Spent a lot of time trying to implement the API Key into the program and getting it to work then.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to figure out how to implement the API Key and be able to push the whole project to Github by myself.

What we learned

I learned more about Alzheimer's in my research for the project and I was able to learn how to implement API Keys into my program much easier now.

What's next for Protogen

I hope to continue this AI chatbot as a passion project of mine throughout my High School years, and build it to be useful for researchers and in education.
