Inspiration
Introducing PReview, a streamlined solution for PR and Marketing Managers to monitor their clients' online reputation.
The increasing influence of social media drives a critical need for online reputation management across many industries. PR managers, marketing professionals, and businesses need simple and effective tools that can help them monitor and manage their brand perception effectively.
Simultaneously, the advent of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) creates opportunities to develop more user-friendly and efficient solutions for users in all industries.
The biggest challenge I face is aggregating PR data, as it’s scattered across various channels and platforms: podcasts, print, social media, news outlets, etc., she says. In order to devise effective strategies and move forward, I have to spend a lot of time collecting information. I frequently ask for advice within PR groups, and I know I’m not alone — my colleagues are going through the same thing. (Maya Stern, Head of Marketing & PR for Creative Navy UX Agency)

Challenges we ran into
- Ideating a project for the Entertainment & Media track - our team pivoted a few times and explored different ideas before settling on our current product.
- Balancing between creating a technically feasible MVP and a logical business case for our product within the hackathon's hacking period.
- While our team had done many other pitches for hackathons, we had never done a pitch for a produthon! Overcoming this challenge required adjusting the structure of our presentation and learning/applying business frameworks.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Attending our first product-oriented hackathon!
- Successfully building out a business case for our product.
- Designing a chatbot-oriented desktop experience for users.
What we learned
- Importance of product-led teams and how each person plays a role in ensuring that the product is successful.
What's next for PReview
- Performance improvements in the future will be achieved by using dedicated vector databases instead of MongoDB.
