Over the years, gaming has grown beyond our wildest dreams. We've witnessed the birth of entire gaming ecosystems, online multiplayer adventures, and immersive virtual worlds. But today, the gaming world is at a crossroads, and Web3 gaming is still in its infancy. Game experiences have become mere shadows of their former selves.

As a Gaming Developer and enthusiast, Zexifi is commitment to preserve the thrill of gaming & revolutionizing the industry, as it merges gaming excitement with the strategic power of Predictive Marketing. With Near dynamics, Zexifi stands as a promise, liberating players from the 'house always wins' narrative, ensuring a gaming experience where everyone has a fair shot at victory.

What it does

The platform empowers game developers to infuse cutting-edge features into their existing games. It's a unique fusion of Web3, betting & bidding. Imagine a gaming experience that's not just about levels but about strategic predictions, bets, and biddings that shape your journey. Zexifi brings benefits to both game developers and indie gamers. It's a win-win, enhancing user engagement and unlocking new monetization opportunities

How we built it

Technology Stack: Leveraged the synergy of Near, Aurora, and Mintbase to build the Gaming Platform for Prediction Markets.

1. Near Protocol

Near Protocol is a blockchain platform that offers a secure, scalable, and developer-friendly environment for building decentralized applications. It provides smart contract functionality, which we use to create prediction markets.

2. Near Rust Smart Contracts

We have implemented smart contracts in Rust that enable the creation and management of prediction markets on the Near Protocol blockchain. These smart contracts facilitate the betting process, pool management, and settlement of prediction markets.

3. Aurora EVM

Aurora is a bridge between the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and the Near Protocol blockchain. It allows us to run Solidity smart contracts originally designed for Ethereum on the Near Protocol blockchain. We use Aurora to execute smart contracts related to prediction market settlements and payouts.

4. Mintbase SDK

Mintbase is a platform for creating and managing NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). We utilize the Mintbase SDK to mint NFTs when prediction markets are settled, and users win the pool. These NFTs can represent unique assets or rewards associated with the prediction markets.

5. Unity SDK

Flow Establishment: Initiated the process with the game server triggering Aurora smart contracts on Near, allowing users to actively engage in prediction markets within games.
Game Conclusion Workflow: Implemented a Gameserver-Aurora workflow for post-game actions. This involves calling the Aurora Smart Contract to seamlessly close the market.
Settlement and Reward: Executed settlement by triggering Aurora Xcc to Mintbase, where the final touch involves the minting of NFT rewards for the victorious user.
Dynamic Fusion: Ensured a dynamic fusion of smart contracts, gamification, and NFT minting, creating an immersive gaming experience at the forefront of blockchain technology.

Challenges we ran into

Integration Complexity: The challenge of seamlessly integrating the Near ecosystem components (Near, Aurora, and Mintbase) posed technical hurdles, requiring careful synchronization.
Scalability Planning: Anticipating and addressing potential scalability issues as Zexifi grows, both in terms of user base and transaction volume, required strategic planning within the Near ecosystem.
Regulatory Compliance: Addressing regulatory considerations within the Near ecosystem, especially in the context of gaming and prediction markets, required navigating evolving legal landscapes and compliance challenges

Seamless Near Ecosystem Integration: Overcoming challenges in integrating Near, Aurora, and Mintbase to establish a seamless and efficient workflow.
Dynamic Smart Contract Execution: Developing and optimizing smart contracts specific to prediction markets on the Aurora platform, ensuring efficient execution.
NFT Rewards with Mintbase Integration: Successfully implementing the Mintbase use case, allowing for the minting of unique NFT rewards on Mintbase once the prediction market closes.
