Inspiration

Our project was inspired by our realization that traditional fixed plant pots limit the growth potential of plants and inhibit their ability to adapt to environmental conditions. Traditional methods cause plants to grow in a fixed location, limiting their ability to adapt to seasonal changes, changes in sunlight angle, and environmental factors.

This observation highlights that plants have the potential to grow better and need more access to their natural environment. The main inspiration of our project is to develop smart and movable flower pots to enable plants to grow in a healthier and more natural way. In this way, plants have better access to natural sunlight, can better adapt to rain and environmental changes, and have better growth potential in their natural environment.

What it does

“PotAI: Smart Plant Pot,” offers plant growers the opportunity to better care for plants, adapt to environmental conditions and monitor the health of plants. Here are the key functions of PotAI:

Water Management: PotAI precisely manages the water needs of plants. It monitors soil moisture levels with moisture sensors and performs automatic watering according to the water needs of the plants. This prevents plants from experiencing problems such as overwatering or drying out.

Temperature Control: To maintain the ideal growing temperatures of plants, PotAI monitors temperature changes with internal thermal sensors. It supports the healthy growth of plants by heating or cooling the inside of the pot when necessary.

Data Monitoring and Analysis: PotAI collects data on plant growth and environmental conditions and makes this data available to users. Users can have real-time information about the growth and health of their plants.

Warnings and Notifications: The pot can alert users to important plant care information. For example, it informs users about water needs or temperature changes.

User-Friendly Interface: PotAI offers a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for users to monitor the status of the pot via their smartphone or computer and intervene when necessary.
