Inspiration
The benefits of drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in preventing or reducing counterfeiting for small businesses are well known - drones are used in delivering goods, security surveillance, monitoring, etc. Drones can be effectively utilized for reducing counterfeiting, operations, inspection and maintenance for safer and more efficient surveys. Further, they can utilized for early prediction of thefts.

Platform Features:
•Detection : Identifying the drones & UAVs in the video feed using object detection.
•Discovery : Logging the identities of the drones & UAVs flying in a particular air space at any instant of time, using exchange of unique identifiers.
•Geo-fencing : Discovering unlawful presence and raising alarms using the detection & discovery data.
•Monitoring : Looking out and reporting incidents based on event detection in visual data.
•Analysis : Analyzing route patterns and incidents.
•Drone Incident Reporting : Publish drone incident reports, preventive measures and remediation using a decentralized twitter application over the Ethereum blockchain network and Embark Tools.
XRPL-py-lite for Asset Management, Automation and Reducing decentralized Transaction Costs in Road ICM: We are utilizing xrpl-py-lite for asset management, automation and reducing transaction costs with XRP Ledger in UAV Monitor. This is especially useful for enabling UAV Monitor at all levels - drone drivers, citizen, dispatcher, Ministry of Aerial Transportation and Fleet Organizations.

Measurements
Volume calculation in the 3D point cloud is intuitive, with adjustable base height and more for accurate earthwork measurements.
Output are compatible with CAD software. Verify the as built site status against design models using current 2d and 3d data from our cloud services.

Early prediction of counterfeiting
We have a variety of communication and collaboration APIs for early prediction of counterfeiting.
How I built it
We utilize the SAP UI5, Fiori platform, Expert.ai NL APIs, Tron DAO, Polygon, XDC, Near (Aurora) blockchain, IPFS/Filecoin via NFT.Storage, Chainlink, XRPL, Spheron infrastructure and Fluence peer protocol, OVIX lending/claim, Sequence wallet with QuickSwap protocol to built the platform solution. We also utilized Ethereum blockchain for developing a decentralized rating and review system for drones used by real estate developers and building infrastructure service providers.

Near Protocol and Aurora: We are using Aurora to enable scaling of the network and effective management and communication setup for Drones utilized in Operations and Maintenance across multiple regions. Aurora enables dApps to easily move to the NEAR blockchain. It allows users to do two distinct things: upload and interact with Solidity smart contracts on NEAR blockchain and move assets (including ERC-20 tokens) between Ethereum, NEAR and Aurora via the Rainbow Bridge. Our platform solution offers an Artificial Intelligence-based object detection system that utilizes blockchain solutions for sorting information obtained from a variety of drone cameras deployed at monitoring spots.
Governance of Drones and UAVs: A decentralized survey for drone ratings by users using a governance solution built with Aragon plugins at the core is done at key intervals and its onchain voting snapshots enable credibility of ratings. We can enable our smart contracts read the storage of any contract at a given block. This enables on-chain voting, airdrops on Ethereum and Polygon. We allow government agencies, civic bodies and community citizens to be owner of the drones using Near Protocol. We are using Aave cross chain bridges to extend drone governance to other blockchain networks like Optimism and Arbitrum.
We have also developed a real time island weather monitoring system using react and we are trying to interact with Celo blockchain for integrating wallet of our choice to value added services.
For maintaining a knowledge management system of drones in a region, we are using Swarm. Our knowledge management is based upon Ethereum Smart Contracts and Swarm. Documents are added to the distributed file storage solution Swarm and the hashes of those documents will be added with a description to a smart contract on the Ethereum network.
AnonDrop (Nym): We are storing the documents to IPFS using AnonDrop having the following features: Files are encrypted locally and uploaded to server app using Nym mixnet. Server app (service-provider) store the files in IPFS using Textile buckets. Files can be retrieved/deleted later using the file hash. Knowledge of hash proves the ownership of files. Neither service-provider or IPFS storage providers can see the contents or name of the stored files. Connect multiple devices running NymDrive and keep them in sync. We are planning to develop a P2P service, an equivalent of Airdrop to enable mesh network sharing.
NFT Supply: A short URL using unstoppable domains to redirect users to an NFT domain simply and quickly. We can use this domain as a search engine to access NFT domains via our browser search.
Our platform will provide the requisites features to share security conditions and remotely monitor the management policies in a place using used and broken phones and tablets, alarm clocks, internet connection, sync service, integration with IP cameras, raise safety alarms. The cost of deployment and added technology is limited which could help the businesses living in a variety of geographical regions. We also utilized google spreadsheets and its apis, google map APIs and telegram bot for developing monitoring and management application.

Collision detection and prevention: We are using APIs for solving multiple challenges in investigative case management of UAVs for the admin role: sentiment analysis of a particular UAV incident for the admin role, social media text mining for a UAV incident and classification of the UAV incidents, early stage UAV incident reponse and prevention. Challenges I ran into
- AWS deployment: We were using PV (paravirtual) based classic instance. Before August 15th, we were required to convert PV (paravirtual) instance to an HVM (Hardware Virtual Machine) and convert it from a classic instance to a VPC instance. We faced a number of challenges in converting our PV instance to an HVM instance as our instance was not reachable via ssh. We arrived at a good conclusion on the issue by doing the following:
- Created an ami of current classic instance.
- Launch a new instance from this ami after shifting to vpc as the base with new VPC security groups and updated volume.
The newly launched instance is working and we are able to ssh and has the code base. We purchased the developer support plan using AWS credits and have being shared key pointers on converting our VPC based PV instance to a VPC based HVM instance. This challenge would not have been solved without the support of AWS team.
The government organizations have to manually upload the incident and drone data to create the claim based NFT. It is not a problem for a small set of drones where we can use csv to json conversion using open source libraries like phpexcel in ethercalc but problematic for larger number of drones. At this juncture, the insurance providers have to manually connect their wallet and create the claim NFT.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were able to utilize a variety of cutting edge technologies like blockchain, machine learning, telegram apis and hana cloud computing platform in developing a solution for logistics companies, logistics provider and government bodies.
A more safe & regulated local air traffic of drones & UAVs with availability of movement data and prediction of future of conditions. Drone incident reporting, preventive measures and remediation using a decentralized twitter application. We can also utilize the platform for integrated management:
Just in Time service Availability of city’s theft records across different stakeholder through secure blockchain network.
Record Management Quality documentation reduces the issues regarding implementation of management policies.
Web Application Cloud-based web application with a chat-based interface for quick attention. It can also be used for environment protection and steps to reduce the issues.
Transparency Insurance agencies can utilize the data to provide customized plans to the customer in case of an incident.
Better Management Practices Journal of records covering complete city history improve the policy implementation and help define stringent rules.
What I learned
We can utilize SocialCalc, Machine Learning Models coupled with decentralized Polygon, NFT.Storage, network tools, ethereum based infrastructure tools for analysis and prediction of incidents to provide early stage detection and prevention of accidents. We also witnessed the great eco-system available to developers to learn and contribute in the Ethereum and Tron DAO eco-system.
Our software cum hardware platform is useful only to the extent it is used by the infrastructure development, operations and inspection community. Thus, we wish to work with infrastructure developers, insurance companies, government around the world to focus on these challenges:
- To make our platform readily available to users, government, logistics companies everywhere.
- To explore and share best practices
- To provide a forum for discussion and support for technology for discussion around cost effective and safe infrastructure management and development requirements.
- To provide mechanism for evaluation and dissemination of results.
What's next for Bring Down Counterfeiting with Drone Monitor
The platform is currently running on AWS and SAP Hana platform. We still need focus on key performance indicators like throughput and measure the performance of our smart contracts before moving to mainnet. We plan to utilize tools like blocktest for measuring and benchmarking our smart contracts and unit tests on a variety of key parameters like throughput, latency. We also wish to test our solution using AWS templates on compliance and security.
Business Model after the hackathon - Our business model has two aspects:
One Time Revenue: Sale of Software as a Service platform Recurring Revenue: Subscription service for usage of Mobile Application
We plan to have 2 channels:
B2B (Business to Business) : This will aim to serve business like mature logistics companies, infrastructure providers, insurance companies, Government infrastructure service providers.
B2C (Business to Consumer): This arm of the sales team will focus on housing societies and sell the product as a value added service on their mobile phones and computers.
We also intend to partner with a network provide to bring our network usage cost down and Co-brand our product.
We wish to start with housing societies and government infrastructure agencies as it would help them monitor the operational efficiencies, accessibility and assessment and help us provide scale. After that we want to target tablet, desktop and smart phone manufacturers to have this product as a factory fitted feature on their products.
Once we achieve scale using these platforms we want to start retail sales for business solutions.
A key channel we wish to focus on strongly is that of government partnership. With US government focusing more and more on improving quality of service, we believe by working closely with the government, we will be able to get scale and achieve sustainability and impact.
