Inspiration
Two members of the team (Farnaz and Alexandra) are avid photographers and love getting feedback on their photos. But there are only so many people they know willing to give their opinions! To fix this, PointTaken is a community of photographers who rate other peoples' photos in exchange for ratings on their own photos.
What it does
PointTaken is a website for photographers to post their work and receive feedback on how to improve.
How we built it
Full-stack web development with many tools and languages. The highlights are a backend supported by Google Cloud, Heroku, Hasura, and Postgres, and a front-end written in React, HTML/CSS/JS based on bootstrap templates.

Why stop at photos? PointTaken will expand to collect crowdsourced opinions on all kinds of creations! Creative writing? Scientific writing? Website UX?
