What it does

Pocket Sims is an augmented reality application that lets users create and expand their reality.

The Pocket Sims app is able to recognize real-life Pocket Sims cards in front of a phone's camera, filling the unique world of the player's character with life.

To get started, players simply pull out a dollar bill and their character will appear and can be moved around with the joystick.

Then, players can customize the setting of Pocket Sims cards to create a vibrant world that fits their liking.

As a consumer product, Pocket Sims cards would be available to players through purchase or trade with other players. By collecting more cards, players can then expand the world of their character.

How I built it

We used Unity, C#, and Vuphoria. With computer vision, Pocket Sims can recognize ImageTargets in the form of real-life, unique cards. We also got guidance from Matthew Hallberg's AR Tutorial.

What's next for Pocket Sims

This project's potential lies in its ability to grow and expand in the collection of cards available. Also, we would like to implement a Multiplayer and/or Social Media aspect to the application.
