According to the United Nations Food Program, One-third of all the food produced globally each year is lost or wasted. The majority of this loss occurs in the early stages of production, including growth, harvest, and storage. We believe that there is not enough awareness about food waste, and we want to fix it with this idea. At its core, food waste comes from inefficient production of food as well as inefficient treatment of food diseases and pests. PlotAI would solve both of these issues by creating easily available compact tools that farmers can take advantage of. Our idea makes the process extremely easy by implementing google maps software straight into our code, so farmers only need to plot their farm on the interactive menu to receive feedback. In response to inefficient food production, PlotAi integrates weather data collecting systems from NASA satellites and APIs and creates predictive models that measure evapotranspiration. In turn, this optimizes water usage crop quality, allowing for a larger yield to be put out per plot. Additionally, PlotAi offers a disease detection feature that can scan produce for signs of disease, with percentage based accuracy and severity of the disease (measured through the Horsfall-barrat scale). Once the disease is detected, our chatbot generates a solution to treat the disease, streamlining the process to become efficient as possible. Early detection can spur quick implementations which can reduce disease spread and minimize crop losses, meaning that a detection in a singular crop can save an entire farm. All in all, this idea involves a multitude of useful features to remove any obstacles preventing the yield of a farm's crops to reach their potential, removing any possibility of hunger/starvation and ensuring that there will always be food available for humans.
