Inspiration

Our inspiration came from Hexlabs' theme of "enchanted garden" and our desire to make a practical product

What it does

The plant lamp allows you to have a light with a little surprise of a mini garden!

How we built it

We used wooden bases, acrylic sheets for the display case, origami paper, and soil/flowers/plants around Georgia Tech's campus

Challenges we ran into

Our challenges mostly stemmed from the construction process of putting all the pieces together, as we had a small, compact area to work with in the display case.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made really cute and cool lamps! The designs of our lamps were personalized. They look similar, but not the same. We worked together on the project, but added our own twists to it.

What we learned

Our team learned how to use laser cutters with the acrylic sheets and different origamis to put into our display. We also discovered that making our plant lamps were not as easy as it sounded even though they are quite small and portable.
