Inspiration
After visiting a school for orphans in Pakistan, Hira noticed the lack of opportunities the children had, specifically the girls who were discouraged from having any academic interests.
What it does
Pillar allows for girls in third-world countries to connect with other girls with experience for free help and education through social media or otherwise.
How was it built?
Pillar was built in Swift using XCode.
What challenged you?
It was quite challenging to understand a new language under time constraints. We faced difficulties with the multi-screens and importing images.
What are we proud of ?
We are proud of a fully functional app that showcases our knowledge of XCode that can make an impact for less fortunate girls.
What did we learn?
We learned to be patient with our code, and debug as much as possible. It was a learning experience that helped us to open our eyes on new strategies and techniques that comes with iOS Applications.
Future for Pillar
Pillar wishes to become a household name in third world countries, bridging the gap in education worldwide.
