Inspiration
Managing prescription medication can be a challenge for seniors, especially those with vision impairments or cognitive difficulties. Keeping track of which medications to take, when to take them, and in what dosage can be confusing and potentially dangerous if mistakes are made.
What it does
Pill Partner is a web app designed specifically to help seniors manage their medications more effectively. With its easy-to-use interface, AI-powered medication recognition, and medication reminders, Pill Partner helps seniors stay on top of their medications and avoid errors
How we built it
Pill Partner uses a combination of technologies to provide an innovative solution for medication management. These include AI-powered image recognition with pytorch, machine learning OCR, SMS messaging integration, a flask backend, and bootstrap for the frontend.
Challenges we ran into
Twilio thought we were committing fraud :(. Managing all the bootstrap elements was difficult as well as maintaining a clean and simple interface that seniors could use easily.
