Inspiration

Our inspiration is to care and maintain pets by creating an app. We inspired by seeing the problems faced by the pets and pet owners especially the beginners.

What it does

Allows pet owners to set and manage feeding times, portions, and types of food for their pets. Sends reminders for administering medications or treatments to the pets on time. Provides a list of emergency veterinary clinics, pet shelters, or helplines in case of any unforeseen situations. Monitors and records the pet's daily activities, such as walks, exercise, or playtime, to ensure they receive adequate physical activity. Provides real-time location tracking of pets through GPS technology, ensuring their safety and enabling owners to find them if they go missing and it include that the owner can communicate with their pet at any time anywhere.

How we built it

Begin developing the app's frontend by translating the UI/UX design into functional components. Implement core features like user authentication, pet profiles, and service booking. Conduct thorough testing at every stage of development to identify and resolve any bugs or usability issues. Test for different device types, operating systems, and network configurations. Continuously refine and optimize the app by enhancing its performance, addressing user feedback, and incorporating any necessary updates or security patches. Prepare the app for deployment by creating app store listings, writing app descriptions, and generating promotional materials. Finally, the app is created.

Challenges we ran into

Developing an app requires expertise in programming languages, frameworks, and platforms. Overcoming technical challenges such as compatibility issues, bugs, or performance optimization can be time-consuming and require continuous testing and troubleshooting.

What we learned

As an app dealing with personal information such as pet health records, it is important to implement robust security measures to protect user data. Clear privacy policies should also be in place to ensure transparency and trust with the users. Creating a pet app presents an opportunity to build a community of pet owners who can connect, share experiences, and seek advice. Incorporating features like forums or chat functionality can foster this sense of community and increase user engagement.
