Inspiration

The moblie game cookie clickers inspired Pete's Paradise.

What it does

This is an idle-style game where the goal is to earn enough dining dollars to pay off your tuition.

How we built it

We used javascript and html on vscode, uploaded our work to a github repository, and then used netify to create a website.

Challenges we ran into

Three of the four members of this team had never coded in javascript or html prior to this project. We were also very naïve when it came to gui.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

3/4 of our team members had never worked with JavaScript or HTML, which is what the game is coded in. Most of us also had no coding experience when going into college, therefore making a game to this extent in so little time was very impressive for us.

What we learned

We have learned a lot, not only about working with JS, HTML, Visual Studio, and GIT, but also how to work in a together in a team to create one end goal. This is a skill we will use and need in the coming years and also in a corporate level job so it has been very rewarding to learn these skills.

What's next for Pete's Paradise

We want to add a couple more features that we didn't have time for in the Hackathon, like a save/load game or quotes. We also want to put the app on the playstore and add in-game purchases to have a source of revenue also coming from Pete's Paradise
