Inspiration: What inspired us to create this website game is the challenge that many young learners face, which is to lose interest in educational topics due to faulty games. We wanted to create something that we would have appreciated if we were around their age.

What it does: Periodic Pal assists children and users who are unfamiliar with compound forming to understand how elements can react with one another to create compounds.

How we built it: The front end is built using CSS, HTML and JavaScript, while the back end is done using Python/Flask.

Challenges we ran into: We ran into a few challenges, including learning to push changes to GitHub, utilizing HTML buttons effectively, and figuring out a way to make the drag-and-drop function possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud of completing the project within the timeline, despite initial uncertainties. We also are proud of being able to create an interactive website, which is still new for us.

What we learned: We learned how to use JavaScript with HTML and CSS, and also learned about implementing Python.

What's next for Periodic Pal: We plan to include various games, other than drag and drop, which will still have the educational objective. We also aim to include various types of compounds, going beyond reactions with solely Hydrogen.
