Inspiration

We wanted to make a game that aligned with the hackathon's theme and addressed an important issue in our age group (mental health).

What it does

A choice-based game where you try to manage your patients' stress; if they get too stressed, you lose. There are multiple mini games throughout, and the results you get from those games affect your patient's stress score. See if you can make it to the end of the shift without making a patient fully stressed!

How we built it

Used C#, Unity, and Ink to build the game. Leveraged Gemini for brainstorming and Claude AI through OpenRouter for assisting in coding.

Challenges we ran into

Having multiple people work on the same GitHub repo led to some errors due to unwanted pushes and pulls. Along with that, it was Vithaals' first time using Unity, so there was a learning curve as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Made a great game that is completely functional within our time limit!

What we learned

Hackathons are hard, but they are worthwhile.

What's next for Paws & Prescriptions

Adding more characters and minigames.
