Inspiration
In a culture that rewards being “always on,” we noticed that many people struggle to take breaks without feeling guilty or socially disconnected. Through our user research, we found that many university students do not have enough time to pursue their passions, and get overwhelmed by a massive amount of information, messages and news. Even when they are on break, recovery time often comes with anxiety, worrying about missed messages, being seen as unresponsive, or letting others down. This inspired us to ask: how might we design an experience that makes setting boundaries feel socially safe, rewarding, and easy to sustain?
