Inspiration

My friends and I get disappointed with most of the centralized fintech institutions like exchanges, brokers, banks. They can and do suspend accounts, take high fees and work extremely slow - especially when you want to withdraw your funds. With passiveAI you have full control over your assets any time and you can trade or earn passive income with huge interest percentage between 3-10% annually.

What it does

PassiveAI is a mobile application that provides simple interface for deposit, send, withdraw, trade and lend cryptocurrencies. You can receive statistics, manage your portfolio and earn up-to 10% passive income from lending with very low risk. There are similar apps, but passiveAI is built with many UI/UX and security improvements in its core. The dApp is mobile first and is planned to be mobile only - it is your own bank, exchange and portfolio manager in your pocket.

How I built it

It is built on top of ionic- one code base for web, Android and IOS. All of the sensitive information stays in the phone of the user and never goes out. Other building blocks that I am using are: Ethereum blockchain for assets store and management - deposit, withdraw, send and smart contracts interactions. Uniswap - for token exchange. Compound - for lending and earning. https://instant.ramp.network/ - for fiat on-boarding of new users - buy crypto with fiat.

Challenges I ran into

Combining all these services and interactions with smart contracts.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Building mobile first app that is user friendly and simple to use that can improve people's financials with one click.

What I learned

Sometimes it is better to build simple apps and to ask for feedback rather than start building complicated apps that you can't finalize and no one want to use them.

What's next for PassiveAI

Add more features like:

  • testing and improving the current version
  • price predictions based on sentiment and technical analyzes
  • email notifications
  • aggregating more lending borrowing and trading options and providing the best rates for the user
  • adding more advanced charts and statistics
  • adding news section
