Inspiration

In the fast-paced and intense world of consulting, staying on top of client interactions, meetings, and correspondences is crucial but can be overwhelming. With past experiences at Deloitte and background in the consulting space, we recognized the need for a tool that not only organizes this flood of information but also leverages it to provide actionable insights. That's where the idea for Partnr was born - a tool designed to transform the consulting experience using the power of generative AI and Language Learning Models (LLMs).

What it does

Partnr is more than a project management tool; it is a generative AI powered consulting copilot. It is smart and context-aware assistant that is trained and fine-tuned on your meetings and emails. The assistant enables consultants, managers, and executives to interact with clients smarter and faster. Here's how it works:

  1. Meeting Transcription: Utilizing OpenAI's Whisper v3, Partnr transcribes video meetings with clients in real time, ensuring no detail is missed.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: The tool then fine-tunes GPT-4 with the transcribed data and relevant emails pertaining to specific consulting projects.
  3. Intuitive Dashboard: All this information is presented on a user-friendly dashboard, where consultants can access all relevant email & meeting summaries, meeting & email transcripts, and an indexable chatbot interface for each project.
  4. Enhanced Client Interaction: The AI assistant, built into the dashboard, provides quick access to project-specific information, suggestions, and insights, allowing for more informed and efficient client interactions.

How we built it

Partnr was built using React, Node.js, Flask, OpenAI, HuggingFace and a ton of caffeine. Partnr also takes advantage of Langchain and Llama-index to finetune state of the art LLM models.

Challenges we ran into

Our project utilizes various APIs from OpenAI and many Github repositories. Managing that all of these calls to external code were consistent with our project was very challenging. Integrating all the different programs that we wrote for each different function of the application with Flask and Postman also posed a lot of issues because of data not being transferred between the front-end and back-end initially. It was through teamwork and effective communication between each of our team-members that we were able to stay motivated through this large-scale full stack project.

What we learned

Integrated AI and System Development: We learned the importance of simultaneously integrating AI models like Whisper v3 and GPT-4 with both the backend and frontend systems. This approach streamlined API interactions, leading to more efficient code and less need for revisions.

AI-Enhanced User Interface Design: Our experience in front-end development, enriched by user feedback, taught us the value of designing UI elements that complement the functionality of AI models, particularly in presenting AI-generated insights in a user-friendly manner.

Optimization of AI Models for Real-Time Use: Implementing Whisper v3 for real-time transcription and Langchain and Llama-index for data contextualization taught us about balancing performance and output quality, and the importance of fine-tuning AI models for efficient processing in a live consulting environment.
