Parking Lot Tracker

By far absolutely unanimously, the worst issue with OSU is parking. Everyone has struggled finding a single open spot. This app is supposed to list anywhere a parking spot is open.

Inspiration

Parking at OSU sucks, throughout the entire school day it's really difficult to find a single open parking spot.

What it does

This app should show you what parking spots would be available, so you know which lots are free to save a lot of time,

How we built it

Auth0 & tkinter - creates the login screen Pyside6 & QtWebEngineView - creates the main screen, including the map showing the campus We then have a list of parking lots and their coordinates, when you search for a building, it filters out an sorts the list of lots to show you what you need.

Challenges we ran into

We have never messed with either services, and needed AI a lot to help us. Also, due to time and experience constraints, we couldn't implement a system to calculate how many spots are available, so e had to manually set that. We also couldn't fix a UI bug with the pullup menu.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got a project done and ready to turn in.

What we learned

We learned teamwork, code organization, and how to use GitHub.
