PITCH DECK (PDF, 14MB): https://parallel.dezentrum.dev/ParallelLands.pdf

Parallel Lands is a collection of small, unusable land — so-called micro properties. In the future a DAO will manage the properties. The claimed properties have been physically claimed using a concrete marker.

In 1973 the artist Gordon Matta Clark started buying small lots in the city of New York and surrounding areas. Clark’s collection of around 30 of these unusable and untenable properties — probably results of surveying errors or zoning oddities — and other such micro properties were only of interest to the artist, when they offered no economic value whatsoever.[1]

Similarly Parallel Lands claims unusable slivers of land in and around the city. The project was launched in Prague as part of the hackathon “Flying Circuit”.[2] The first three claimed lots are found in the vicinity of the hacker space “Paralelni Polis”.[3]
