Expressionist Body Horror

There was an intense feeling inside of me that couldn't put into words. I felt a longing for connection, I felt the tragedy of lost love and an angry urge to get it back. That abstract emotion is what I wanted to capture. This resulted in a very emotional approach to this story, logic was merely the glue to tie it into a quasi understandable narrative, resulting in a lynchian fever dream, reminiscent of a bad acid trip or a psychotic break.

Figures of speech are taken literally, the protagonist actually digs into his chest to follows his heart, which leads him back to his lost love. Through his memory of her, he finds the strength to be reborn into a new reality. While his wife died as his passenger, her body becomes a vessel and a portal to carry him into another world.

It's fun. Chuckles are allowed.
