Inspiration
From our collective experience from organizing and participating in previous hackathons, we observed the inconveniences that each stakeholder ( organizers, participants, mentors, judges ) faced throughout these events . Witnessing these challenges firsthand motivated us to create a solution that streamlines the entire process, from submission to evaluation.
What it does
Hackflow provides a comprehensive platform designed to easen the flow of both hackathons and ideathons for hosts, participants, mentors, and judges. It covers essential features such as project submission, evaluation, and event updates. Additionally, Hackflow introduces functionalities like mentorship requests, mobile notifications for mentors...
How we built it
After brainstroming the ideas and functionalities that we wanted to implement in our project, we started working on the website using the following technologies: Front-end: React, Tailwind, DaisyUI (for built-in components) Back-end: Nextjs ver14, MongoDb UI-UX: Figma, Spline
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating front-end with back-end
- implementing the exact UI-UX design with all the required features
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Learning new tools and technologies
- Successful collaboration and teamwork
- Smooth workflow (no conflicts whatsoever)
- Time management
What we learned
- New tools and technologies
What's next for HackFlow
We aspire for HackFlow to be used not only by GDG Algiers but every event host in the foreseeable future
