We were inspired by the hackathon itself, especially because of how much time management is important.
What our program does is
Our program helps other people plan their day better by generating the most optimal timeline, and help prevent procrastination.
How we built it
The project was built using Java and the Swing framework.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we had was building the suggesting algorithm.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishments that we are proud of is the intuitive GUI and the development of the auto suggestion feature, which takes the priority of every event and reorganizes the timeline in three different ways. The user can access these suggestions by clicking on the arrows above the timeline.
What we learned
We learned how to manage our time and how to work together through GitHub. This allowed us to create the program provided the short period we had to work on the project.
What's next for OptiStrads
OptiStrad is a program that has an extremely high potential to be used by many different people with different lifestyles. We can continue to develop a better and more efficient algorithm that uses A.I to decide the most optimal timeline for users.
