About OpiRescue
OpiRescue is a free support tool created by RxAssurance to serve as a patient support network application for OpiSafe, a service that promotes best practices and PDMP/PMP checking for prescribers of opioids.
The Mission
OpiRescue was created based on the work of Robert Valuck, PhD, a professor at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr Valuck's experience with pharmaceutical research and working with the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention have converged with the creation of OpiSafe and OpiRescue. Ultimately, the goal is to save lives through making knowledge available and easy to consume in moments of crisis.
How it works
OpiRescue is available online and on iOS and Android mobile devices. The application is designed to give people easy to comprehend instructions and the ability to build a care network through invitations. Through our OpiSafe platform, we encourage doctors to prescribe to the patient to be proactive about informing their friends and family about the risk involved their prescribed therapy of Opioids. We also promote this practice to patients as well.

RxAssurance is a Denver, Colorado digital health startup that builds online and mobile tools that are designed to improve patient outcomes through prescription optimization, a process of gathering feedback from patients about efficacy, side effects, satisfaction and a variety of clinical assessments designed to gauge pain, risk, function and other significant indicators.
