OpenMed

OpenMed is a medical tool that predicts possible diagnosis of a user given certain symptoms, age and medications. We used AWS Bedrock, Comprehend Medical, and React to make a working product.

We wanted to create an app that would contribute to the healthcare field and help people while using AWS technologies, and OpenMed seemed like the perfect fit. The project revolves around providing real This project was a learning curve, with learning about AWS Bedrock, AWS Lambda, GenAI, and React. We faced a lot of challenges with connecting frontend with backend, making sure the API calls were being delivered, and had trouble showing the results from backend to frontend. This was also our first time using React and AWS technologies, so we had some trouble understanding the syntax and integrating everything together.
