Oomami

Inspiration

We all realized the struggle of trying to find a place to eat last minute. It is so hard to decide, and the current available options are too full of choices. We are here to fix that!

What it does

We use the Yelp API to list all of the restaurant's in your area (or based off of your search criteria!) and allow you to swipe through them (Tinder style!).

How we built it

We have a react-native application that connects via axios to the Yelp API.

Challenges we ran into

We definitely ran into a lot of issues with react-native formatting.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of how good the final product looks.

What we learned

To plan more efficiently! Also, to figure out better data path implementations.

What's next for Oomami

More integrations! Google maps, google street view, more tracking in terms of "hot" restaurants.
