🥕At One More Byte we aim to reduce food waste in Canada.
Why is Food Waste a Problem? According to the National Zero Waste Council's research, an excess of $21 billion and almost 2.3 million tonnes of edible food is wasted yearly in Canada. Food is important well-being and necessity to living. Everyone deserves access to healthy and nutritious food.
To reduce food waste, and end hunger. OneMoreByte is partnering restaurants to donate extra food to community. With the help of volunteers, our reward program, and our built in social we hope to spread the movement.
🥕What it Does
- Users are able to order food with green delivery options like walking and biking.
- Resource hub to volunteer with OneMoreByte. The application is able to keep track the distance you walked to restaurant to community center to help donate food. Depending the distance and how much food you help us deliver for those in needs you gain rewards to help buy food at OneMoreByte. Which in all not only helps improve others lives but also yours.
- With our built in social page, restaurants, volunteers, and OneMoreByte can share and connect with each other!
