What is OnBrand BitBo Easter Egg?
Once you discover BitBo on the Bits of Good website, it'll pop out into an easter egg game where you can personalize BitBo! Get creative by changing BitBo's eyes and mouth using arrows, and mix and match headpieces and accessories on the menu. Once you're happy with your selection, you can click on the camera icon to take a screenshot of your personalized BitBo :D
How we built it
We built this all using Figma from creating vectors to prototyping the interactions!
Challenges we ran into
Prototyping a game on Figma definitely had its challenges, especially when we were figuring out how to switch between the eyes/mouth and headpiece/accessory menu bar items. We had to work around this by brainstorming potential ways to go through a TON of variables and conditionals on Figma to create a seamless prototype.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A LOT! We worked very hard and are super proud of the result!
- Prototyping all of the interactions
- Vectorizing the customizations
- Personalizing our cute mascot, BitBo!
- yassifying and sanrio-ing the little guy
What we learned
We learned a lot about prototyping on Figma with the different interactions you can utilize as well as how to work around the constraints to be more creative!
What's next for OnBrand BitBo Easter Egg
It would be super awesome to see this get developed! We were thinking that if it does, it would be cool to have the BitBo that the user creates to be the user's cursor on the Bits of Good website for the time that they're on there!
