OmegaStudent

Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project was the struggles and problems we faced as students.

What it does

It is an all in one student area. It includes things like setting reminders, time management, opening apps and websites, etc.

How we built it

We built it using python, and its tkinter module for GUI.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into were trying to find a way to integrate Google Classroom API into the project, but it did not work with our time constraint of 2 hours, so we had to find another feature to substitute that.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We had to learn a lot of intermediate-advanced concepts about tkinter, and things like opening notifcations, etc.

What we learned

We learned many things during this process, like how to actually switch frames in the tkinter module, how to create things like notifications and set reminders, and also how difficult API really is.

What's next for OmegaStudent

We would want to try to integrate google classroom into our project in some way or the other, but due to the time constraints in this hackathon, we were unable to.
