Inspiration

There are a lot of problem that affects us that can come from ocean pollution and it doesn't check affect marine animals. Microplastics getting into our food then into our body (can increase potential risk of cancer), polluting water which leads to less clean water for us to drink. No fish means a large staple of food source is gone and cause famine (like countries that rely on fish instead of red meat)

What it does

Game application to help users to learn more about the situation regarding ocean pollution and hopefully have some fun too.

How I built it

I used the pygame library from python

Challenges I ran into

Learning it at first, since I never worked with pygame. I had a bug in the last hour where the quiz buttons weren't working, but I managed to fixed it but it was very close and stressful

A fully functional game

Basics of pygame (game loops, user input..)

What's next for Ocean Helper

Music More questions Animations Turtle has actual use (in the home screen) like adding a happiness counter where if you play the minigames it increases
